A mutilated horse watches intently for the arrival
Of processions that shall not come again.
Others shall come instead, men in white coats
Engineers, workers, indifferent to these mysteries.
And at the fixed hour, the factories blazon
The arrival: a procession of shadows and secrets
Lost in the eyes of a horse
Holding vigil over its own death.
